Paul maintains a varied general legal practice with a concentration on plaintiff's personal injury litigation. Paul also does a great deal of work in the areas of family law, successions/probate, estate planning, and corporate real property. He has extensive civil litigation experience from both the plaintiff's and defendant's perspectives.
Paul was born December 11, 1945, and graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1967 and a Juris Doctor degree in 1971. While in school, he was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Fraternity. Paul was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1971 and served as a Captain in the United States Army Judge Advocate General Corp from 1971 through 1974.
Paul joined the Kitchens law firm in 1974. Since that time he has been named Minden's Outstanding Young Man and Minden's Man of the Year. He also held the position of president with the Minden Jaycees, Minden Noon Lion's Club, and the Minden Chamber of Commerce. Paul served as President of the Webster Parrish Bar Association in 1988 and was a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association House of Delegates in 1975 and 1976. He was also a member of the Young Lawyer's Section of the American Bar Association and currently holds membership in the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association.
